Sorry I've been MIA for so long! Things just have not been great, and so I've just lurked around for ages.

The skinny is that we're all good, but my body has evidently decided to not participate in this pregnancy. I'm not producing progesterone, so what was just a hormone deficiency has become them pumping me full of it every week to keep my levels up. My guess is that's the only reason we have made it this far, and I'll probably be on it until my Peri decides its time to deliver because if they reduce my dosage and my levels start to drop its estimated that I'll go into labor. So blood thinners daily, progesterone twice a week, and now I've miserably failed my GD test and am waiting to see if I'll get to even try the 3hr test or if they'll just have me start monitoring my blood sugars. Oh, and to top that all off I already have irritable uterus and am contracting more than normal. So far that's not a worry though as they're checking my cervix every appointment and the contractions while sometimes fairly consistent are not affecting my cervix.

On a good note, the little man in there is growing away. Wiggling, kicking, and making me get all fat and crabby. He's due June 28th-ish, we don't really have a set date yet. My Dr's office says July 2nd, I say June 28th, and either way we'll probably go earlier.

The rest of the fam is good. Ella is a sassy little diva! So opinionated, stubborn, and SUCH a temper! She's a joy, but requires a lot of extra patience. It's a good thing she's so darn cute! She's been continually behind on her milestones, and has just decided to walk last weekend. Our words are few and far between, she says: daddy, Sid, Momma (when she wants something), Baba (bottle), Bye-bye, Mmmm (when something tastes good to her), hot, shoe, and various other things here and there. She's a stinker though and wont repeat anything when asked. She understands everything though, and is so smart and observant it's hard to sneak or put anything past her. Sid is good too, enjoying 3rd grade. He's excited for summer, and next year he'll be transferring to the school in our neighborhood where we bought our house last fall. There's a neighborhood swimming pool a block away, and he's super excited about that.

Eddie and I are good. Just trying to get settled in, do work on the house (we bought a fixer-upper in a good neighborhood, which means work work work). So far we've ripped out and laid new carpet, and painted the entire basement (3 bedrooms), demo'd the downstairs bathroom and getting it ready to reno half of it now, and the other half next year. We've been working from the basement up, as the upstairs is perfectly livable even if it's not up to our standards. Trying to get things rearranged and ready for baby, and just trying to enjoy the kiddos before the new little man makes his appearance and I'm busy with the demands of a newborn.

So while this got fairly long, that's the short version. I've missed you ladies, and come lurk and check on you every few days!

Jen

Wow you have a lot going on! I hope they can keep that baby baking in there a while longer. Thanks for checking in!

Does Ella have any idea of the baby yet? Matthew has no clue what so ever. I am hoping once he can feel kicks he might understand something is up. So far all he wants to do is lift my shirt up and pinch me.

Hi Jen!

I'm so glad you checked in! I'm sorry about the pregnancy issues, I definitely know that feeling of being failed by your body, but I'm so glad to hear your little man is growing despite your body. I can't believe Ella is 15 months old already! Even if she is meeting her milestones a bit later, she is still meeting them, which is great! How fun to be fixing up a new home, even though it is so much work. I'll be thinking of you and hoping the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly (as it can)!
