I have been having cramping off and on all day. I went to the store to get groceries and had to call my DH in to help me (he was waiting in the van with DD) because my belly hurt so bad. That pain lasted for about 10 minutes straight and I just assumed it was because the cart was too heavy. Well now I have been having some pretty bad back pain for the past couple hours. I don't know if I should call the OB on call or just wait it out and see if contractions start and become regular. It hurts but I think I can live through it. I just don't know what is going on! I don't know if it is just baby pushing on something or if it is early labor? With DD I had a back ache the day before my water broke. Oh, I have also switched positions (even sat on my exercise ball) and nothing seems to help.

Any thoughts?

So I did call my OB. They said to use a heating pad and take a couple of tylenol. I did and I am feeling a little better now. Now I just need to get some sleep tonight!!

If it gets bad, go in. I had severe back pain at 37 weeks and it wasn't labor, it was kidney stones. I hope yours is NOT that, but just trust yourself to know if something is not right.

Sleep a lot if you can. Drink lots of water (It always seem to cure my pain) and use the heating pad.
