Hi ladies. Just wondering how many of you conceived without ever TEMPING? Taking my temps everyday is stressing me out way more than I had anticipated so I'm thinking of throwing away the thermometer. Just wanted to know how many of you were successful without temping. Thanks!

Temping confuses me and I have no idea how to do it. I used my ovulation saliva scope and checked my CM.

i tried it for a while but just couldn't keep up with it, I just used OPK's until I found out 'when' I ovulate...took about three months. Then I knew based on cm and day about when I o'd. Ironically though, after my m/c... I conceived both my ds and this one after I literally quit trying. I was stressed way out (both with TTC and work) and once I let go....nature took its course. good luck.

I have conceived 3 times and never tried temping- it is way too stressful. What good is it anyway other than to predict ovulation? I would rather know I am not pregnant by af coming than seeing my temp drop and trying to ang onto any little bit of hope. I would be discouraged all month if I temped!

The only time I temped and used OPKs was this last time. The other 3 times I got pregnant without it. I did pay attention to CM with my first and knew to BD when I saw EWCM. But with my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies I didn't even pay attention to that.

I never temped but I did use OPK's really just because I felt like I needed to do something - but honestly we BD'd every single day from like Day 13 on so I didn't even need to use the OPK's and I think it does add an element of stress worrying about testing. Maybe try a month without it all and see how it goes - just BD a lot!!

when we began TTC in July last year, I started temping, and had a successful conception in November... however I then went on to miscarry.... we decided ot start TTC straight away, but I made the decision not to temp - because as you said i got so stressed out by it... I generally monitored my CM to get an indicator of when I was going to ovulate, although most of my cycles I O'd on CD13 anyway so it was pretty easy...

Thanks ladies! I really think this is the way go. No more temping. I think this stress is the reason I haven't ovulated in 4 months. I'm doing it to myself....I really need to learn to let go.

I have pg 5 times and I have only temped with one. And the one I temped with took two cycles to get pg. The rest I got pg after one cycle.

I was on my 3rd month of temping when DS was conceived (but during O time we were out of town and I didn't temp!). This time I decided to stop temping because I too was getting so stressed out over it all. My cycles we always pretty regular so I monitored cm and that was it. we actually only got in 1 bd session around O time. i think less is more, and focusing on my relatioship with my DH rather than getting pg is what worked for us.

I've never temped because I'm an analyst at heart and it would become obsessive. I just watch for EWCM and then we BD at least every other day.

Temping was never my thing. I just used OPK's and the calendar method BD'in as often as we could muster.

But no way temping played no part in any time I have ever been pregnant!
