Hello ladies - my name is Sara and I just had my first miscarriage recently. I was wondering - is there anyone in here that got pregnant right away after a miscarriage and the pregnancy is going fine? How long after your loss did you start trying again?

My loss was very early - about 5 weeks - and I had no cramping or physical discomfort with it (I guess because it was so early) and I know it's recommended to wait 1 cycle but I was wondering how risky it really is to start trying again right away. Unfortunately I've dealt with a lot of loss in my life so I am dealing with it well emotionally. I really want to start trying again right away because there are only certain months of the year we can try due to my hubby's schedule but if it's dangerous I will def. wait.

TIA!

Especially since you had a natural m/c I don't see a problem with you starting to try before your 1st cycle. If your body is not ready to get pregnant, you won't. Some women won't ovulate after a m/c before their 1st cycle but some do. I hope you are able to get pregnant again quickly.

I had a D&E at 15 weeks and it took me a little over 30 days to get my 1st AF. We started trying my first cycle and were successful and I am currently just over 10 weeks pregnant.

I got pregnant a little less than 3 months after giving birth to my stillborn son Eli at 26 weeks. I am now 26 weeks along with this baby and everything is going perfectly.

I miscarried in February, got my first AF five weeks later and got pregnant the second cycle after that. My first ultrasound is tomorrow so I hope to see a heartbeat. As far as I know, so far so good.

I'm sorry for your loss but I'm so glad that it worked out so well after that and you got a healthy little boy! That makes me hopeful that a future pregnancy will work out for me

With my son, who was born very ill, I got pregnant about 2 months after he died, quite by suprise and now have a healthy 2 year old DD. I miscarried at 11 weeks 12/15/09, and got pregnant again in February and am now 16 weeks along.
I was a little worried about getting pregnant again right after the miscarriage (I had a D&C) so we waiting until I got through 1 full cycle, then it happened right away!

I have had 6 losses ranging from 14 weeks to chemical pregnancies. It took me anywhere from 8 cycles to the cycle after to get pregnant.

My sucessful pregnancies were....

with Matthew I got pregnant 2 cycles after a loss and with this one I m/c at the end of Dec and two weeks later I Oed and got pregnant.

My doctor gave me the green light to try again right away after our 2 miscarriages....however, I chose to wait because I was a wreck. Once we started actively trying again, it took about 8 cycles for us to get pregnant.

So, I think physically, you should be fine. But just make sure you are emotionally good to go as well. I'm really sorry for your loss and understand how hard it is to go through.

My story is much the same as these ladies. We got pregnant anywhere from 1-4 months after a miscarriage (I have had 4). My sister was pregnant again before AF ever showed after her miscarriage and her daughter is now 1 year old.

If your body is ready physically then go for it. My doctor said there was no medical/physical reason to wait - just emotional.

I got pregnant about 10 or so weeks after my first mc and that was a successful pregnancy and then about 4 months after my last mc and so far so good. I'm 34 weeks now. I had a lot of blood tests at the beginning of this pregnancy so try and see why it may have been happening, I got some answers and was put on medication and all is good.

I hope you get a sticky bean soon.

there are a few members in my DDC who are now full term, or close to it, after getting pregnant immediately after a m/c

I had a m/c and d&c July 10th last year and it took 4 months to get pregnant again in October. I had another miscarriage Oct 30th (at 4 weeks) and conceived again Nov 13th...so right at 2 weeks later. I'm 30 weeks pregnant today and he's perfectly healthy!

I tried, did not get pregnant that cycle of the m/c. Next cycle was a chemical (tested positive 12dpo...starter AF on time next day) next cycle was my BFP. I am almost 10 weeks now.

I was also 5 weeks...natural like you

Good luck to you!!!
