I had my doctor's appointment this morning and apparently I measure at 18 weeks as opposed to 13 weeks (there is no way that I could be off by more then a day or two from my conception date) so my doctor thinks I might be pregnant with twins but she could only find one heartbeat. I get an ultrasound in two weeks to find out (you have to schedule them here in Canada at special u/s centers). If I knew I would end up with two healthy babies I would be happy but I am worried about all the possible complications of multiple pregnancies.
Is there any other reason why I would be measuring ahead if it's not twins (again I know my conception date is correct and can only be off by a couple of days)?
