Hey PAL ladies,
I had a wonderful ultrasound today. Got to hear as well as see the baby's heartbeat (167 bpm), a nice little thud-thud-thud-thud, it took my breath away. It is a little gummy bear with a big alien head - there is still a little bit of tailbone sticking out too - but I'm SO GLAD that I waited until the 9th week to do my next u/s, and got to see a real critter in there!!!! It was super exciting. If all goes well, I won't have another scan until the anatomy/gender scan.

I am 8w4d today by my reckoning, and little one measured 8w3d, so we're back on track (my 5w4d scan found just a sac measuring 5w exactly).

I had that brief painless bleed a few weeks ago, then brown spotting for a couple of weeks, and another painless bleed just a few days ago where I actually passed a small clot as well, and the bleeding stopped right after I passed the clot. The residual brown spotting is already almost all gone now, too. They did not see anything on the u/s that explained it, so my theory is that I had a small clot by my cervix, and passed it, so now everything is fine. I'm hoping, anyway!

I go back in 4 weeks for a normal office visit, and we'll listen for the h/b then.

Thanks for all your T&P!!!!!!!
