So I was experiencing quite a bit of cervix pain last night and this morning I went to check (don't judge) and I couldn't even reach it! It been very low this whole pregnancy, now it's to high to feel if it's open. I am kind of freaking out. I hope I don't have an incompetent cervix! Is it normal for your cervix to change positions during pregnancy?
I don't know too much about cervix position, but it doesn't sound so bad to me. I imagine that the position would change over time in pregnancy, but maybe it's not commonly studied enough that anyone knows what is normal or abnormal. I say if the pain goes on another day or more and you're still worried, call the doctor and hopefully you can go in and get all checked out! But it could just be one of those random pregnancy changes that happen.
My cervix is high and unreachable and I know it is measuring fine.. Hormones changes can cause this and it can be perfectly harmless but if you're concerned about the pain let your dr. or midwife know.

Thanks to Pattyandthemoos For the wonderful siggy!
I don't know much about the cervix. But if it were me, I'd call the nurse line at the OB. They may want to take a look just to be sure. I do know however, like OwensMommy said, hormones can cause cramping and swelling in the cervix. That could be whats happening. With my son when I got into my second trimester I do remember feeling like there was a lot going on down there. :-)
My cervix would hurt when I was pregnant - I think sometimes she was kicking it It would also change position all day So honestly I wouldn't worry about it. If you are freaking out though - it doesn't hurt to get checked! (((hugs))) and KUP!
Thank you Kiliki for my first beautiful Siggie!
