Hi ladies, I'm thrilled (and a little bit nervous - actually a lot nervous) to be joining you! My name is Kristen, I'm 35, and I got my BFP at 9 DPO on November 17. DH and I had a loss at 7 weeks in September, and we can't believe we got PG on our first cycle trying after the m/c.
At first I was completely convinced this was gonna be a chemical, and was shocked when AF didn't show last week. Tomorrow I will be calling my OB for betas and progesterone bloods this week, and hopefully can talk to her about my concerns. Right now I don't want to be seen just yet - last time, I had an internal exam, a pap, and a flu shot at 6 weeks, and started to m/c 3 days later, so of course I blame all of that. Hopefully she won't feel the need to see me for an exam just yet.
It's so great to have a board like this where we can vent and discuss.

Our rainbow baby, William Patrick, finally arrived at 39w5d on 2/23/12!
7 pounds, 19 inches of healthy baby boy!
Congratulations on your BFP. I had a pap at my first OB appointment for the baby we lost. I got pregnant two cycles later and asked the doctor not to do one because I was just petrified it would cause bleeding that would freak me out. She said that was fine so we skipped the pap. Maybe your doctor will do the same for you.
