Hello ladies, I'd like to both happily and sadly joining you.

I'm currently pregnant with baby #3, due in May, and it's definitely been a scary little ride! My very first pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at the beginning of my second trimester. My DH and I went through a lot then, a lot that we both have still not yet come to terms with. There was a lot of anger and distrust toward each other over the tragedy.

Following that miscarriage we got pregnant with our first DD, Roxie, who was born two months prematurely and had her own struggles, from being unable to sustain her own breathing, heartrate, temperature, and unable to eat, to severe jaundice and anemia with a blood transfusion. She was the champ of the NICU though, and is now a happy and healthy 2 year old, my little miracle.

Then came my second daughter, Eden, with a high risk pregnancy revolving around high blood pressure and preeclampsia. She went full term (thank goodness) though my body had started with contractions back in the 2nd trimester. She tried to come early, but we got her to stay until 37 weeks. She is now 17 months and my little princess prima donna.

Deciding on baby #3 is what brought about our second miscarriage. It started normal, but ended quickly. I only got to enjoy baby bean for July 2010 and a little of August.

Now, we pray every day that this pregnancy is our easy one! We are expecting our little boy, Robert Charles III (named after DH), and so far so good aside from signs of preeclampsia again and my blood pressure slowly creeping up. I've been trying to control my diet to combat that.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

I can relate to a lot of what you are going through. I've had 2 miscarriages and 2 chemical pregnancies and 6 premature babies. My last baby came at 25 weeks due to pre-eclampsia. I hope you can take it easy and keep those blood pressures in check. Congrats and welcome to the PAL board.

When my OB was explaining my second miscarriage to me, he referred to it as a miscarriage but was describing it like a chemical pregnancy... Are they considered separate things? I'm so sorry, you've been through so much, thank you so much for the welcome
