I have not felt Peter move yet today! I have felt a few something, that may have been movement, but he is usually VERY active! I am freaking out! I can't go into the midwife for a heartbeat check because it is new years eve, and I don't want to go to the ER if it's nothing to be worried about.... I am not spotting or leaking, and I am not having any cramps....I woke up this morning on my back, and incredibly uncomfortable, I hope I did kill him!

Does anyone else have slower days? I am really worried....

You did not kill your baby!!!!!! ((((hugs)))) I slept on my back till the end!
Ok - Drink something cold and sweet, (pop, juice whatever) eat a bit of chocolate or something and lay down and poke your belly. You will likely feel something after an hour or so.
I forget when you are supposed to start doing kick counts - I think that more like 28 -30 weeks. Right now it's pretty normal to not always be able to feel them. He's still just little.
If you don't feel something after a couple of hour - you can always go and get checked. Or at least call. You will probably be sent to L&D not the ER since you are after 24 weeks. L&D is totally used to worried moms who haven't felt movement. Usually as soon as they get the u/s out the baby tap dances!
((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))

Erin and Patrick both did this to me, and I bruised myself trying to wake them up. Erin woke up while I was waiting in my Dr's office.

I hope everything is okay, but I agree, if you can't get him to move please just go get yourself checked.

Ice cold Coke always works for me, or orange juice. Ruby has periods where she is very still, then she gives me a few hard jabs when I start to worry. Just breathe. *hugs*

Ella used to do this to me and it does make you worry. She was always usually so active. I used to have a cold drink and lay down and talk to her. She always moved after a little while.

I agree with the other ladies though if he still hasn't moved and you are worried go to the hospital for a scan and then I am sure he will start to wriggle and move, they always do!

I had tried everything! Cold drinks, ice cream, dancing around, poking my belly etc. He would not move! So I called my midwife and she told me to get monitored at L&D. The moment I got the gown on and got into the bed, he started throwing a frickin' party in there! LOL I bet I look pretty foolish complaining about no movement with my belly jumping all over the place.

I may have jumped the gun a bit, but I was REALLY scared! I usually feel at LEAST one really good kick every 30 minutes.... If I don't simply laying down on my side for 20-30 minutes will get him active.

They told me it was probably because I hadn't eaten until around noon and it was affecting him...

I agree with Mary, I don't think it was jumping the gun. Even if it was a million and one chance that something was wrong, it's better to be safe than sorry. I'm so glad everything is okay!

So glad to hear that everything is ok. I would have done the same thing as you just to help settle my nerves. No reason to spend hours worrying if you can just get checked out.

Hi! I felt this same way last night! I will be 33 weeks tomorrow and started to panic!!! Our baby boy was so chill yesterday and I was very worried. I was unsure if I should drink sugary juice or soda, since I have gestational diabetes!!

I laid down in bed and... well, let's just say that our boy MORE THAN made up for his restful day. In fact, my husband and I actually SAW flutters in addition to feeling them.

However, I did read that as I get closer to the end... he may become less active due to growing bigger!!

I definitely have slower days with less movement from my little man, and it's so scary! I get freaked out too... Glad everything is ok.
