So last night as usual DH and I went to listen to the baby's hb on our doppler and I said hey lets count the beats. So he took out a stopwatch and we timed it for 15 seconds - multiplied it by 4 and went into panic mode because it was only 88. We did it again, same exact thing. Panic. So my DH goes, "Go listen to the CD that came with the thing and see what it says." (I should have done this before we ever used it but was too anxious) So I go and listen to the CD from Babybeat which gives you an example of the babys arterial blood flow, the hb at 10 weeks and the hb at 16 weeks and the placenta. Well wouldn't you know it me and my genius husband have been listening to the babys arterial blood flow for 2 freaking weeks thinking it was the hb!!!! I was wondering why it was so easy to find and always in the same exact spot when everyone else said their's was moving. So we went back upstairs and started all over again.....and finally found the hb about an inch below my belly button dead center. It kept going in and out and moving like you all said yours did. We counted the beats and it was approx 152. (So what do you think - boy judging by the hb??)
Anyway I was almost too embarressed to share this story but figured what the heck I think its funny that something that has been giving me total reassurance for 2 weeks wasn't even the right thing! Lesson learned - read all the materials and instructions first!!
