I can't believe I am going to be 13 weeks tomorrow. Who would have thought we would be here.... again . But it has me thinking. My dr said my chances of a m/c are the same as anyone elses. So does that mean that I can feel safer now that I am hitting 13 weeks. My dr did say we can all breath easier at 14 weeks. But for some reason I am actually feeling fairly "safe" at this point. Is this crazy? Anyway I am very excited to be reaching 13 weeks.

Congrats! I'm not sure I felt better at 13 weeks. I'm 14 weeks today, and still feel a little unsure. I'm glad you feel secure! Hope it's easy breezy the rest of the way for you!!

It's good to feel safe. I think most people feel safe after 12/13/14 weeks. Of course, there are statistics, and your chances of having a loss basically keep going down over time, and dramatically once you're well in the 2nd trimester, hence the conventional wisdom... those are just statistics, you are you, you don't care about the average over 1,000s of people. If you feel safe, then that is great.

I can't believe you're 13 weeks already! I think that you should embrace any feeling of security and really enjoy the pregnancy. How exciting!

Thanks P . It was very exciting to hear the heartbeat yesterday and hear little flips on the doppler.

Congrats, Jess. If he said that your chances aren't higher than the general population, I would say you can relax. In reality, though, I know you won't feel a little more relaxed until you pass your latest loss date. It's coming up soon, though, that you'll be past that hurdle.
