i just want to encourage the expecting mamas not to make the same mistake I did...I was so certain I'd go med free/natural childbirth that I literally tuned out the entire session in childbirth class on the med options. My induction didn't go as expected and it turned out I had HORRIBLE back labor and did end up opting for an Epi (which was a lifesaver for me) but it's really made scarier & more stressful when you're trying to evaluate your options in the midst of contractions and intense pain and I kicked myself repeatedly for not being more open to at least learning more about my options earlier in the event things didn't go the way I intended...
In the end I was happy with the choice I made and managed to (narrowly) avoid a c-section so I have no regrets on getting the epi...
