So today has been one week since I found out by a home pregnancy test that I am pregnant, and with my loss last month it was now when I started bleeding, however I know every pregnancy is different and I am still scared of missing I haven't told anyone other than my boyfriend, nor have I even made my dr. appt yet. I think I am just preparing myself for the worst and don't wanna waste anyones time. I still don't even know when I should make my first dr. appt. My dr told me that I should wait until my first period to start trying again (i did not listen) so I hope he isn't upset with me about it. As far as my calculations I am about 6 1/2 weeks. ugh sorry this is long but I just have A LOT of concerns! Thank you for "listening"

Hi, Congratulations and Welcome!! We all understand how scared you are. So are you saying that you did not have a period after your loss and got pregnant? If so then you should give your doctor a call so they can get you in for an ultrasound to date the baby.

I agree with Missy. If you never got your period after your m/c, you should probably be seen by a doctor. Did you take an earlier pregnancy and it was negative, then finally got a positive? Because your pregnancy COULD be picking up the HcG left over from your m/c. I hope that's not the case, and this is a new pregnancy, but you should call your OB, explain the situation and get an appt. Good luck hon!!!

Yea I think you are right, I will call and make an appointment! Well when I missed I was only 5 weeks, and when I went to the hospital as well as the dr they said my hcg was so low it would not show a postive test...so the only way this could be from the last one is if my levels went down then came back up....which I highly doubt...but I will make an appt with dr to find out details.

Welcome and congratulations. Its scary and exciting and we are here to help. I agree with the ladies. And as far as what the dr says. They only say one cycle for dating purposes. So he probably will just order an u/s to date the pregnancy and think nothing of it. Good luck!

Definitely make an appt. with your OB now. At 6.5 weeks you might get a HB on an ultrasound. I didn't wait after my M/C to start trying again and I know plenty of women who don't, it really isn't medically necessary, if your body isn't ready to get PG it won't.

Good luck and keep us posted!
