Well since many of us are going to be pregnant through the summer I have been looking for a swimsuit. What do you ladies think of these? If neither style (ignore color) what style would you do?

One piece

Tankinie style

I would definitely wear a one piece because there's no way I am letting the world see my stomach. I am fat enough without being pregnant.

One piece...and just a little beware if you get a one piece that is a dress like make sure the seam goes down the side. With DD i did not do this and the skirt would lift, it was horrible

I looooove that first 1-piece with the halter neck. That is really cool. Almost makes me wish I will be pregnant during swimsuit season

For some reason in California several older ladies (aunts, hairdressers, etc) were telling me about how when they were pregnant back in the day (like 70s-80s), they kept wearing their same tiny bikini to the beach throughout the whole pregnancy. My aunt said that her belly was so big at the end, you couldn't even tell she was wearing bottoms from the front!!! I think the tankinis and 1-pieces are much more modest

I have one from last time that is a tankini style...it's so cute I wish I could wear it non-prego! LOL I got it from Target I think

I was in early pregnancy in the summer, so I just wore my normal suit. But I would go for the two piece. The one piece seem like it would hurt your girly bits if your belly got too big! lol!

I am going tankini style. In fact the last swimsuit wasn't even maternity. You could buy the two piece with different sizes for the top and bottom. I do love both those suits, though.

I wore a bikini the whole time - that way I never had to worry if it fit my belly. Preggo bellies are beautiful! Show it off! And it's the only time you get to wear a bikini and NOT suck it in

Ditto for me too. With DD, I just wore a bikini (and I was HUGE!! LOL) It ehlps though that we don't go to the beach, per se. We go to my parents cottage on a lake. Their surrounded by old people, and all the ladies like to see my gut hang out. LOL Not sure what I'll do this year??

I like botht the suits though. I agree with Erica that the one piece might pull at the crotch a bit, but I like the halter top. Good luck!

If you are like me and you don't have a bikini body when you are not pregnant than the tankini style is really nice. I got one from DH's cousin when I was pregnant in the spring and summer with DD and will be using that again this spring/summer. The one piece is cute too but the tankini seemed to have more room for my growing belly. The top piece was long enough that it didn't ride up or anything and my belly didn't show.

Also, exposing your bare belly to the sun increases your chances of stretch marks!

I'm going to go with a tankini style. I'm not thrilled with any of the one pieces I've seen.

This one is the one I like

I like that one too Brittanie. My other thing with the swim suit is I want to try to swim laps with it. I have no idea if that will happen or not. I might try target since a lot of people seem to have good luck getting suits there for a good price.

We went to Jamaica during my pregnancy, so I had 3 different suits. I had a one piece from Old Navy....it didn't fit well until I had a really big belly. I had two tankinis and my favorite was the one with "rouching (sp?)" down the sides. It fit for the longest because it sucked in over my belly when I wasn't as big. I got mine from Motherhood Maternity (but we went in Sept, so I got it on sale

I wasn't impressed with my Target's selection, but I do know that stores differ, so it's worth a look.

and mine is just going to be for going to the splash park with my kids. No matter how I try I can't keep from getting wet, so I need a suit.

I am going to try to find something that will allow me to swim laps. I miss swimming laps and getting my anxiety out. I think it will help me to exercise.
