I was so excited last night to get back in the pool. Before getting pregnant I was swimming 2-3x a week 42 plus laps (over a mile each night) for an hour. Last night I did 12 laps in about 25-30 mins but it felt great. My suit was a little tight but I will say I slept great last night . It was wonderful to relieve all the stress and anxiety of the last couple weeks. I hope to keep going 2x a week for the remainder of the pregnancy.

Anyone else working out? What are you doing?

That sounds wonderful!!! I bet swimming will be a perfect form of exercise throughout the pregnancy. I wish I had access to a nice pool.

I started out thinking I would do regular elliptical workouts and stuff, but after being knocked flat on my butt until 15+ weeks along, I was too out of shape to start up again. However, I think I get quite a bit of activity during my "nesting" freak-outs... I do a lot of lifting, carrying, scrubbing, yard work, etc. Enough to feel it the next day. And I have some pretty good arm and shoulder muscles now!

Also, I got an exercise ball to help my pelvic alignment and encourage the baby to get in a good position. I am bouncing on it right now It really helps with my sore hips and lower back that I get sometimes. I also do some basic yoga whenever I feel sore or tight, which feels awesome.

I wish I did more cardio though. Or walking. Around here, I have to actually drive 15 minutes to get someplace where I can walk... there are no sidewalks in my neighborhood. Mississippi! In California I was walking a lot and it felt really good.

Yeah I wish I would have stuck with it. I am sore today . But a good sore if that makes sense. I might try to add walking but if I start having preterm labor again I know I will have to stop all of it . Shen glad you are getting some actiity in. I can't wait for the bursts of energy and nesting to kick in. I hope I get some this weekend LOL.
