So I went to the dentist today for the filling that fell out 1 month ago -- they had to take an xray which I was almost in tears over (my OB said it was fine just to tell them to double shield me) -- I had them triple shield me. She said that I need root canal on it because the tooth split or something. I stopped listening I was so upset. I'm not scared of the dentist but after our m/c's and everything I just don't want to do anything that is out of the norm. I called my OB and she said its okay and that the Xrays won't hurt especially with being double shielded and that I just need them to use lidocaine without epinephrine and that its fine. No matter how much she said its fine I'm still terrified of something happening to the baby. I go tomorrow at 9am and if you could all just think good thoughts and that the baby will be just fine I'd really appreciate it.

I totally know how you feel - at this very moment, I'm walking around with a hole in my back tooth because I'm terrified to have it filled - I know the dr will tell me to go, but that doesn't relieve the worrying. And to add a bit of irony, my father is a retired dentist and he can't believe I'm being so 'silly'. I guess I am, but I just feel like if I can get a bith further along, I will go.

I will be thinking of you.

Thank you for checking on me!!! I went and the specialist looked at me and said that the root is inflamed not damaged or whatever sooooo I have to wait until Monday and see how the pain is because he said an inflamation could just be in irritation and could fix itself. If the pain is still there at all or worse then I go back next week for root canal but if the pain is gone then the root has healed itself and I will just get a regular filling. So we'll see what happens over the weekend and next week something will be done - just a matter of what!! All that crying and worry for nothing to happen - yet!!! Thanks for checking!
