My doctor wrote me a prescription for Zophran today because of how sick I am. I took half of one just now and wow - I am able to function!

And for those of you that do not have insurance, if you have a Costco pharmacy near you they are the cheapest. We paid $37 for 30 generic 8mg pills. Other pharmacies quoted me up to $300!

They gave you 30 pills??? So jealous! My stupid insurance will only give me 12 at a time, so I use them super sparingly. Luckily I have some leftover from Spud, so I'll be getting it refilled soon and have those to boost my supply. And Zofran is the best!

Why don't you have the doctor write you a script for more? I pay totally out of pocket and $40 is sure worth feeling better!!! I have not been out of bed except to go to the doctors and the grocery store once in the past month. Wow - feels good just to feel a little sick!

Zofran & Phenergan (i had to take both) were complete lifesavers during both of my pregnancies...zofran def. the better of the 2, and i was on max dosage i could take without being hospitalized - i ran into the whole pill count issue too, had to go through a whole escalation process with insurance company w/dr justification etc. because the drug is classed for use during chemo so their protocol is to not allow more than x# of pills during a 30/60/90 day period and I was on it beyond their max allowed time (3 months) so that was another round of justifications too.

Glad you're feeling better...you may find as you approach 2nd tri that you need to up your dosage as the m/s usually peaks around then. HUGS

Thanks girls!

I thought m/s slowed down around 12 weeks? I can't remember with the boys, but I was not sick like this with them either.

Wow! That's crazy expensive. I got the generic, (don't remember the name of it though) and it was only $10 for 30 pills!!

Glad you're feeling better though!! Always a good thing!
