over the last 3 days i have had such a strong back pain and if its not in my back it's on my right/left side. and WON'T go away. it doesn't feel like it's something wrong with the pregnancy. it's not just my lower back it's allllllllll over. i'm thinking its my mattress but i bought memory foam and tried that last night and it didn't work. and i also bought a full length body pillow and that still didn't work for the pain. the pain is so strong that i can't sleep at night or get comfy, i finally fall asleep because i'm so tired of laying there that i doze off then wake up in an hour. sometimes it hurts so much that it feels like its in my upper abdomen. i'm not sure what to do?

You should be able to take some tylenol pm to help you sleep which could help your back feel better. I would for sure talk to your doctor about it and see what they say. It sounds like just the weight from the pregnancy is putting strain on your back but it could be anything. I hope you start feeling better soon.

Do you think it could just be because my mattress sucks! lol or what. cause i can stand with no pain, but as soon as i sit or lay down i can't bare it. I'd like to be able to sleep or lay down with no pain. but i don't see that happening anytime soon

What about getting a cheap blow up mattress then? I slept on one for years and it was just as comfortable as the $1,000 mattress I have now!

it's not contractions. It's like a realllllly sore back when you get fromm working hard all day, but i've done nothing to cause this as i don't work or lift heavy things. i do have a blow up mattress downstairs in my spare room, i've literally tried everything. i can still feel himm kicking lots lol or i'd be realllly worried. i just don't know how to make myself free of the pain. nothing seems to work, hot baths, tylenol, stretching, pillows.

contraction can happen in your back too, i would just make sure... Also it could be your mattress i have had the same problem later in my pregnancy too, it could also be how baby is lying in there or everyday pregnancy pain.

You may want to get that checked out...it isn't that uncommon to have kidney stones/infections in pregnancy. I've had both (the infection wasn't when I was preggo but the stones were) and my first indication was always back pain. If you don't want to go to the doc, watch closely for any other symptoms.

I hope you feel better soon! If you've been checked out and know that it's not an infection of any sort of contractions, you may want to see a chiropractor. I had terrible back pain and told BF's mom about it and she told me to go to the chiro so I did and it is amazing! I went a few times before I felt almost 100%, but even walking out after the very first adjustment I noticed a huge difference.
