Hi all:

My name is Terri and I got my BFP last week. I saw my doctor yesterday and did my first set of prenatal bloodwork this morning. I am currently 6 w 1d.

A little history.....I have 2 DD from a previous marriage. DH and I have been TTC our first together for over 4 years. We finally got a BFP in December 2010 only to lose our little angel on Jan 27, 2011. I was originally diagnosed with a molar pg but just yesterday got the final pathology report confirming that the original diagnosis was wrong. I am still not sure what caused the m/c but the doctor said it could just be do to age. I turned 36 last month.

Even though we were supposed to wait until July to start TTC again...apparently someone had other plans and I got a very dark BFP last Saturday. I was going to wait to join a DDC club but decided that I felt really good this time and I was going to embrace this new pg and enjoy every minute of it.

Sorry so long....I can't wait to get to know each of you better.

I agree that we are all still young enough to have babies but the doc's seem stuck on the fact that we should be having babies before 35.

Hi Terri, welcome and congratulations!

I'm 35 and having my second and they do place a lot of emphasis on maternal age but honestly 'older' women are having healthy babies more and more, KWIM?

Looking forward to getting to know you!
