What do you put in your diaper bag?
What is something that you thought you would need but didn't?

Right now I have a purse that has 2 of Patrick's diapers, a pack of wipes, a thing of lanolin, and a small first aid kit in the pocket.

For a brand new baby, though, I'll need at least 4 diapers, wipes, lanolin, an extra outfit (maybe an extra shirt for me if she's a spitter like Erin and Patrick were), my nursing cover and a couple receiving blankets/burp cloths, and an extra pacifier. Oh, and a couple extra nursing pads.

I can't think of anything I've packed that I didn't actually need....

We used to carry, diapers, wipes, diaper cream, a bib and a change of clothes.

What is something that you thought you would need but didn't?
I don't recall anything diaper bag related that never got used.

My diaper bag contained what Brittanie had for a newborn. It got lighter as my son got older.

Several diapers, wipes, ointment, extra paci, small toy or two, extra blanket, extra outfit, nursing cover, breast pads, sippy cups for the boys, few bandaids, hand santizer and more hand sanitizer, 2-3 bibs...

I tend to bring everything but the kitchen sink.

I bring diapers, bottles, formula, extra outfit or 2 depending on how long we will be out, rash cream, wipes and water for the bottles.

I have some samples of rash cream that never got used but I think that was just because we didn't like or use those brands. Oh and samples of baby shampoo... not sure why they were in there.
