I have a question about swings, alot of you probably have one already so I am hoping you can help. DD didn't like hers but it was a travel swing and honestly didn't really work well. What things should I look at? What kind did you choose? and if you are a grad or using it as a btdt are you happy with the performance?

Good Questions! I was looking at swings and thinking the same thing. The last time I had a baby swing it was the kind you had to wind up yourself and there was no tray or toys or music! LOL

I got this swing during my shower with DS Fisher Price Flutterbye Dreams Basic Cradle Swing and I used it for DD too. Both of them loved it. I don't care for it at all. I haven't been able to put my finger on what I don't like, but I really don't. It's something about the performance. I plan on getting a new one if these babies make it. They make swings that plug in now, and I think I'm going to go for that. We spent SO much money on batteries for that stinkin' thing!

You might look into one that does more than just front/back motion. They have ones that go side to side and in circles too.

I have a travel swing that worked well for Patrick. I don't plan on getting another one unless I have to.

My kids didn't really like the swing much but loved the vibrating bouncy seat . We did have a friend give us her swing this time that her son out grew. It goes side to side and front to back. I like that feature and am excited to try it. Its a little lamb swing or something like that.

I don't have it, but I have friends who have given the little lamb swing great reviews!

I have a Graco lovin' hug, like this one (but different pattern) Graco Lovin' Hug Swing - Hamilton - Graco - Babies"R"Us ....which just has back-front motion, music, and the tray comes with 2 toys, but DD loved it! It takes batteries but we've never had to change them until DD was able to reach the buttons from the couch and kept playing with it
