So DH is getting a little impatient to see the baby. lol He wants me to get the appt scheduled for this Monday. I'll be about 25 weeks. Should I get it now, or wait til the usual 27/28 weeks? It's $200 for the package we're getting. What would you ladies do?

I don't think 2 weeks would make much difference one way or the other, so do what makes you happy.

I don't remember the actual timings they give, but it really is best to go when they say it is best to go. They can capture it when the baby is fleshed out enough to actually look human, but not too squished. And when it comes to fat deposits, a couple of weeks CAN make a difference. Maybe you could call and talk to them and see what they think?

28-30 weeks is actually when they say its best and we have always had good luck with ours around 29 weeks. I think you can go up to 32 with good pictures but really before 28 they aren't as good they say. If you can hold out a couple more weeks you will be happier with the pictures for the price. If you can do a double visit one early, one later on then that would be worth it. I know its tough to wait . Ultimately seeing baby is the goal and it isn't a big deal. How fun, enjoy the time watching baby move it really is a fun experience.

^That's what I'm leaning towards. I was watching youtube videos some at 25 weeks and others at 28-30 and I can see a big difference so yeah I'm waiting. lol

The place I went to advised waiting until at least 27 weeks, with the preferred time between 28-31 weeks. I went at exactly 29 weeks and got great pictures. I figured with the amount of money we were spending that I definitely wanted to wait until the recommended time.

Even though I already had my rainbow baby i'm lurking on here. Honestly I would wait until 28-30 weeks. With my last pregnancy it was done at 30 and then this time at around 20.

This is what my 30 week one looked like:

Even though of course 10 weeks is a big difference she looks a lot more like a baby at 30 and I have a feeling even the 5 weeks is going to make a difference too. Normally they recommend between 28-32.

Ok appointment scheduled for Sep 7. It came down to whether or not DH was going to be able to get the day off work. I didn't know that was the big issue there so went ahead and scheduled it. That's just under a month away. I'm sure I'll be right around that 28 week mark by then.

I was just gonna add that I would wait as well...and it sounds like you did choose to do that

We just had one done at 32 weeks (well, one day shy of 32 weeks), a little sneek peek, and it was awesome!! I will have to scan the pic and post it. He looks just like a "real" baby. The one we had at 16 weeks (gender), he looked like a skinny alien. Lol. So a couple weeks can certainly make the difference.
