I'm on the 3rd floor in an office in Virginia and when people walk heavy, it shakes. I thought someone was walking really heavy. Then I tried to figure out HOW BIG THAT PERSON MUST BE!! Then it felt like rolling and I figured it out!
Evacuated for about 20 minutes but all is well here.
We are near some bridge tunnels and I'm wondering what the plan is to inspect them.
I'm sure we'll hear of more buildings collapsing near Richmond/Charlottesville. I hope everyone is okay!
I had my rainbow baby on December 14, 2011. Now my family is complete!
So glad everyone is okay! We felt it here in NJ but clearly not as powerful as in DC/VA. It was quite freaky though. My office in NYC (I work from home sometimes) said the whole building shook - we are on the 20th floor though.
We felt it here in SC. My Mom was over and we were sitting on the couch reading our books and she said, "I think your couch is moving! I think it's a tremor."
I had felt something and said, "There's probably a big truck outside...or you are a termor." And I laughed at here...openly. I had to eat crow..and I felt something but never thought earthquake. My Mom said, "That's not a big truck, that's an earthquake I've felt them many times before."
SO I came over to the computer and sure enough...there were reports in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC...we're smack in the middle so I guess she's right!
“Before you were conceived, I wanted you...
Before you were born, I loved you...
Before you were here an hour, I would die for you...
This is the miracle of love.” -Maureen Mansfield
