Remember a few posts back when we were talking nurseries, and I mentioned that I'm doing a rainbow for my Rainbow Baby? Well... I BOUGHT MY QUILT FABRIC!!!

I'm more than a little excited.

So... whaddya think, ladies? Do you think it's a good tribute for my Rainbow Baby?

I have always wanted to learn to quilt! I bought all the stuff to make an aplique quilt for a friend of ours who was trying desperately to have a baby through a surrogate. She finally just adopted a little boy and I want to finish it now. I was thinking taking a beginners course at JoAnns.

Thanks ladies!!! I am SO excited. And... in true angel mama fashion, I had to EXPLAIN it to everyone at the fabric store. LOL. It was really neat to share with people that this quilt isn't just colorful, it's symbolic for me. I explained what a rainbow baby was, and I got to talk about my angel without people looking at me like I was nuts, and people were able to acknowledge my little angel and my Baby Bug and share in the joy. I cannot tell you what a balm for my soul that was.

And... Lindsey! That's so sweet! It's not SUPER hard... if you can sew in a straight line, you can quilt. Take that class though! It'll be helpful!

Which is why I can't quilt. I cannot cut nor sew in a straight line, so things that HAVE to be straight look awful. lol

Again, it's just beautiful. But I told you that already.
