For those who have ever gone to a Pregnancy Center for a free ultrasound early on - did they have trans-vaginal equipment there or just abdominal?

I know it is probably different at different places but part of me things thet because of the more invasive nature of trans-vaginal, the pregnancy centers may not even do them at all.

I have an u/s tomorrow, I will be 6 weeks and I am just so anxious to see the hb.

I had a transvaginal one done at 6 weeks but they could see it better with abdominal since I have a tipped uterus... Don't be discouraged if you don't see the HB at 6 weeks. I didn't see it until 7.

I had a few techs make me put it in too. I found it weird. Maybe to protect themselves? I guess to each their own.

That's so odd..I think having to put it in myself would make me feel even more awkward!!!

This is dh's first child and he didn't even know such a thing as a trans-vag u/s existed until I told him and it totally weirded him out. He said he didn't want to be there if they were doing that...

I'd beat my DH with a stick if he told me that he was not coming to my u/s. I made him stay by my bed with all my RE procedures--if I suffer, he suffers. Lol. I totally understand being weirded out though. When my hubby had to get a prostate exam, he made me stay and watch the whole thing. I think I was more scarred than he was. Lol.
