I saw my peri yesterday for the first time. I'm officially released from the RE.
We had an extra long u/s as they had a student in there, so after the regular tech did her stuff the student did it all again. But we got to see the baby moving around, stretching and kicking!

Then had the long consult with the Dr. He went over all the risks again based on being AMA and also over 40. But since everything looks so good with this baby, and typically with the Trisomys you see some growth issues early on, we (I think) have decided against the CVS. I'm scheduled on the 25th for my NT scan, and we will do the all the associated blood work. If that shows anything then we will do the amnio. But since Trisomy issues are the ones that worry me (I can deal with Downs) and there is no indicator right now, we feel safe in waiting.

We are still waiting till Halloween to do the big announcement, but I'm feeling much more confident.

YAY!! I remember my RE telling me that once you make it past 9 weeks the chance of a Trisomy miscarriage go down so this time they let me stay an extra week for that assurance. Good luck to you!!
