I had my 34 week appointment today and can't believe how close I am...this pregnancy has FLOWN by!!
Baby had been measuring where she was supposed to before this appointment but today she was measuring 2 weeks big.
My doctor induced me a week early with my son because she was afraid he'd be too big for me to deliver since I'm small but since the specialists think Zoë is going to be small I assumed that wouldn't be the case with little girl. So I asked my OB today and asked if she doesn't come how long over she'd let me go. She said as small as I am that she won't let me go much over and in fact doesn't want me to go over my due date at all. She said they'll keep watching her size and see what my cervix is doing and that they might induce her a week early as well as she really doesn't want me to have to have a c-section and that each baby tends to be bigger than the previous
I go back in two weeks but unfortunately I will have to see the other dr in the office, who I don't like and not only that...but she'll be giving me the Group B Strep test...ugh!! After that I'm back to weekly appointments...and they are all with my dr thank goodness!!
I am not so sure about the 'each baby is bigger' thing. My biggest baby was my second and my daughter (number 4) was more than a pound smaller than he was. My mom's biggest baby was her fourth with three after him that were progressively smaller.
How did they 'measure' her? By US? By fundal height?
When they persisted in questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "Let the person among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." John 8:7 Sail Back to Me
My 2nd was slightly bigger than my 1st...but he was induced a week earlier because the u/s to estimate his weight had him at 8lbs 3 oz and she was worried about him getting any bigger...u/s can be off a pound either way and he was 7lbs 3 oz. But I know my mom's 3rd and final was her smallest so you never really know.
This measurement she took was the fundal height she hasn't had an u/s in over a month since I quit going for the level 2's.
