After a 3 night stay at the hospital, we were allowed to go home!!!

My blood pressure since coming home has been great, too! My second urine test showed no proteinuria, and my bloodwork looked stable except for my uric acid was creeping up (but still in normal range). I am doing another 24 hour urine collection at home, and we go in tomorrow for an appointment, NST, and more bloodwork. The basic plan is that at 38 weeks we will talk about induction for the underlying hypertension, unless clear pre-eclampsia develops before then, in which case we would be looking at going to back to the hospital, probably for induction.

I am so glad that we can do this close monitoring at home, where my BPs are stable in the 110s and 120s over 70s and 80s, instead of at the hospital, where my BP was shooting up to the 140s over 90s everytime someone came into the room. It was so exhausting trying to constantly relax while I was there- I think if we hadn't been discharged, my blood pressures would have continued to be unstable and we would have ended up getting induced just over the pressures. But now we can wait as long as I am stable until baby girl is a little more ready.

Yay yay yay yay yay yay yay!!!

Nicole - I am so sorry they kept you there so long. I thought you were home already! My BP was a little elevated for me when I was in there. Lack of sleep and rest just adds to it all.

Welcome Home!!!

I am the exact opposite. My BP always plumits when I am in the hospital. With DD, the machine alarms would go off everytime it took my BP because it was something around 60/30 etc. They never seemed too worried about it.

Anyway, I am soooo glad that you are home! I hate hospitals too.

So glad you get to stay home! I know what you mean about the BP. I swear, mine goes up each time I go to the hospital too.

Thanks, ladies I'm so excited to be home, and my appointment and labs went well today, too, so I am still pre-eclampsia free!!

I will be having twice weekly appointments (I go back on Friday) and as long as I don't develop pre-eclampsia before then, we will be induced (due to the risks of hypertension) when we reach 38 weeks. So we will be meeting our little girl by November 8th or 9th!

I'm still a little worried about her being ready by then, but I am so excited to meet her!!
