I did not sleep well last night, as usual. I woke up at 2ish and tosses and turned until the alarm went off at 5:30. I did get brief moments of sleep though, because I looked at the clock the last time at 5 am, and appearently I slept through the first alarm (we hit snooze one time every morning to gradually wake up). I got out of bed and immediately felt hot and flushed. My DH tried telling me that it was not hot in the house. Then, when I went upstairs to wake the kids up, my heart started racing and I had to lay down on the ground at the top of the stairs so I would not pass out. I got their clothes and I let DH handle everything else.

Well, I am not hot anymore, but I am extremely sick to my stomach and just exhausted. I guess the sick to stomach is about right, as I am 6 weeks today. Was it the lack of sleep, the getting up too fast, or is it just normal?

Are you on Prometrium?
I have been having the same issues... like right now I am freaking hot because I got a shower and did my make up. I get super dizzy and have to grab a wall every now and then.

Dh will say how cold it is in the bedroom and im kicking off the covers sweating to death.

I heat up also and I am not on prometrium. I also get dizziness. If you keep getting dizzy, you can call your doctor.

I used to get dizzy spells in the first Tri where I thought I would pass out, I think it was either blood pressure or low low blood sugar. It's scary but I think it's fairly normal, eating always made me feel better, well at least for five minutes until I felt nauseated, lol.

Lindsey - what is a normal blood pressure for you? mine always runs on the low side at 100/60 - getting dizzy for me is normal. (or maybe its the blond hair).

Either way, sounds normal. I am always the one that is cold in the house and this whole pregnancy I have been soooooo hot. If it continues I would call the doctor just to see what they say.

My blood pressure always runs low. I cannot tell you how many times I used to get turned away donating blood because my BP was always BL low.

Yeah, you are a lot like me. Try to remember to eat all the time to keep the blood sugars up and blood flowing. With the increased blood volume we get during pregnancy and our tendency to have low BP we get dizzy easier. I have never been a big breakfast person and forget to eat sometimes. My body reminds me to, lol.

Keeping our sugars and BP as even as possible also helps some with panic attacks.

Honestly I am not sure. It is an initial appointment, so probably the usual b/w, urine, cervix check, etc. I am REALLY hoping for an u/s. I think I might even fib a little to get one if they do not do one. I really want to know is there is a h/b or not.

I thought that was getting ditzy, not dizzy

Lindsey, it sounds pretty normal, but I hope you don't have any more close calls! And good luck at your appointment!
