So I think my little pity party and melt down caused me a migraine afterwards. It literally started after I broke down. We ran out of Tylenol, so I have not been able to take any (plus I am unsure of the dose I can take and if I can even take it with my once daily baby aspirin).
So basically I spent a good chunk of yesterday evening laying on the couch in the dark with an ice pack to the front and top of my head. I even went to bed right before 8pm, because it would just not go away. I could feel my heart beat pounding in my head. Well I was hoping that sleeping would help. It did not. I woke up 3 times to pee and each time was painful. This morning was no better. Even a shower did not help. The only thing that helped me sleep yesterday was an ice pack to the head.
I'd go to the store to get Tylenol, but it is severe weather outside and I cannot even see well because of it. I need to start getting ready in a few for my appointment, but I do not want to move from the couch. Any other suggestions?
I suffer from Migraines on a regular basis. Have you tried some caffeine? I know it's a trigger for migraines, but sometimes it can also help. I have noticed that the darker the coffee the better.
Tylenol, has never help me with a migraine. Maybe when you go in today ask them what you can do, they might be able to give you something. If it makes it better wear sunglasses when you drive, I know it's silly but it has helped me when driving, since migraines makes you sensitive to light.
I agree drink plenty of water, you might of gotten Dehydrated from yesterday and also, try not to stress, stress will make it worse. Just try to relax, lay on the couch and think happy thoughts, just try to relax.
I might get a vanilla coke on the way to the doctors. My head is just throbbing. I am laying on the couch again with an ice pack to my head. Tylenol never really helps me either, but I am willing to try anything.
