Sorry, as soon as I got this news, I started singing this song

I just found out that my maternity leave is NOT just short term disability, it's still not a whole lot, but I get 6 weeks (for vaginal) and 8 weeks (c-section) FULLY PAID! Then, on top of that, I can take up to 6 or 8 weeks at 60% pay for short term disability - oh my gosh, this job switch has just gotten better and better! WOOHOOOOOOO...ok, I am done

That's awesome news!!!!!! It does make a difference when your employer takes care of you. We have great benefits, DH doesn't get any Paternity leave, he has to take sick leave.

Lack of maternity leave coverage is one of the downsides of working part time like I do. It's so nice to have those weeks to focus on baby and yourself and not have to worry about waking up super early to get to work on time.
