Hi Folks,
I had to have a DnC last year in August, at about 7 weeks in, they couldn't find a heartbeat (in fact we never found one). The whole thing really beat me down. We'd been trying for a while prior and it was my first pregnancy.

My first appointment is in the middle of my sixth week on Feb 21st. (My due date would be Oct 13, 12)

I know we're supposed to stay positive and not stress out because it can be bad for the tiny baby...

but I'm just dying to see whether it has a heartbeat this time and I'm so worried that I'm going to miscarry again and have to start all over again. I'm trying to just be happy since if it fails, I'll be heartbroken anyway, but it's hard.

PAL is very difficult, and honestly those first weeks until you go and see a h/b are one of the worse. Take one day at the time, breath, enjoy the baby and whatever pg you might have. Staying positive is hard, but think what you get at the end of those 9 months a baby! Focus on other stuff, work, family, take care of yourself, and again take each day at the time.

I am right there with you. I had a chemical last August and I have had 2 m/c before that years ago. We just have to have hope to hold on to right now. Hang in there and I hope you see that hb at your appointment.

I have my first appointment today but I am afraid since I am only 5 weeks they won't see a hb yet.

I'm right there with you. I've had two missed miscarriages in the past 8 months and I'm now anxiously waiting my first u/s on the 21st. I'm due October 11th! Baby dust to all of us, and very big deep breaths.

It is so hard to wait, I hope the next couple of weeks fly by for you! And that they see a beautiful hb!! In the meantime, feel free to vent here if you need to!!

Hi, we're in the same DDC I'm in almost the same boat as you. I had natural miscarriages at 5 weeks in May and September. My first appt. will be at 6.5 weeks, for a transvaginal u/s. I think I'm going to go crazy between now and March 6th! It seems so far away, and even though I'm trying to be positive, I'm just SO SCARED that this is all going to blow up in my face. Hang in there... I'm choosing to believe that we both will get good news!!

Praying you get a good strong HB. PAL is very hard esspecially in the beginning.
