Sorry you're having a tough time, Ami! That is wonderful you saw a healthy baby at your u/s! For me, the best thing is to try to keep busy and distract myself... if I leave myself to my thoughts too often, I get myself all freaked out, kwim? So glad everything is going well for you so far!

((hugs)) The time between appointments is so hard. Hopefully you'll start to feel your baby soon. Is there any way that your doctor would let you come in for a quick heartbeat check halfway between appointments?
You can find a sonoline B for about $50 and sell it for probably $35 when you're done with it. I don't know if that would work for you, but it's something to think about.

The hardest thing is the wait from one appointment to the next, it's 4 weeks of stressing yourself out, and worrying. I Hate it, I can't wait until I get to go twice a week.
I try to distract myself, at work it's easy most of the time and at home, I just keep busy with DS, which is not hard to do since he is 3
I know some places do rent Dopplers, I can't recall any right now
