Not sure if I'm going to be able to post the link on here. It's about Orajel being under investigation.

I have used the baby Orajel for Alex, not often, but used it when he was first teething.

My doctor said to give Scarlett orajel for her teething pain. I will ask him more about this on Monday when we go in for her 4 month check.

I did read and article that states "Of the cases reported, most of the children were given doses which exceeded the label recommendations."

In the meantime I will stop using it on her. Thanks for the heads up!!

A lot of our Playroom mommies were told by their pedis to NOT give their kids Orajel. Mine has never said anything and I knew nothing about this until a friend posted it yesterday. There are complaints though that some babies were given the right amount and still had problems. Scary to me. Thought I'd let everyone else know. We use the teething tablets and Advil.

I've had two doctors mention this to me and advise me not to use it so I never have, but glad there is some info out there.

That's so scary! The nurses at the hospital after we had DS1 (2006) told us not to use Orajel because it can cause depressed breathing. A few of our pedis (we've been to 3 different practices since DS1 was born trying to find the right fit) through the years have said it was ok, but I was always too paranoid.
