In the grand scheme of things, this is a kind of silly, pointless rant. But I'm frustrated and want to rant....
My last appointment was the anatomy scan at 19w5d. I made my next appointment for 24w1d with a different doctor than normal because mine is out on medical leave this month. It worked out great because my step-mom was in town and she was able to stay home with the kids. I showed up at the appointment and was told that she was running 30 minutes behind. Okay, that's fine. After waiting 15-20 minutes the receptionist comes up and tells me that the doctor is now 1 hour behind. Which meant I wouldn't be home until probably after 5pm and we had dinner reservations to go out for my step-mom's birthday at 5:30.
So I rescheduled for today (25w0d). Kind of annoyed that I was going to have to wait a little 5 weeks for follow up about the new anti-depressant I'm taking, but whatever. I just got a call (about 1.5 hours before the appointment) that my appointment is cancelled because she had a patient with scheduled surgery that morning that kept getting delayed. So I have to reschedule. Again.
Luckily my own doctor is back on Monday, so I have an appoint now for Monday (25w4d) with her. It will be now 6 weeks before I get a follow up on the medication, which is now causing a weird side effect of (TMI) diarrhea. I have no scale so I can't see if this is causing weight loss (hard to imagine is isn't with how bad it is) until Monday.
