I hope things pick up on their own. I think complaining is justified. It's not like you do nothing but complain, so that fact that you are complaining must mean that it's really stressful. I still have my stupid cough and though I also hate to complain, if my cough was an actual entity, I would stab it until it was dead.

Good luck this weekend!

I hope you get the labor you want, and if things do end in a c/s, that you will have an entirely different experience than the last time. Everybody tells me how entirely different the planned c/s is vs. c/s after laboring. I am counting on that, going into this next birth! Very excited for you to meet your daughter, however she chooses to arrive!

Is there a reason you are not wanting to wait until labour happens on it's own? I was dilated 3 centimetres for 4 weeks before my son was born. My SIL was not dilated at all until 3 hours before she delivered (vaginally)... Dilation is really no indication of how soon you'll deliver.

BTW, I am not trying to judge you, I just don't know your situation....

I wouldn't mind too much to wait honestly. I went to 42 weeks with our son and barely made any changes at all. They were not willing to let me go past 42 weeks with him but he had growth issues.

This time I am on blood thinners (2x a day) and they don't really want me going much over 41 weeks being on those. I will be 41 weeks tomorrow.

Also we are tentatively moving in June...so that only gives me 4 weeks or so to recover. I don't really want to go 42+ weeks and still not have her for whatever reason and then not feeling too great to move.

We moved a few days after my csection with our son and it was awful and so stressful. I am just on a clock at this point :/

I think my body just might be one of those that gestates babies beyond 42 weeks! That or my cervix really just doesn't want to do its job. I got to 7 cm with him after 26 hrs of labor and it just wouldn't budge beyond that.

I can totally relate to the "cervix not knowing what in the world is going on" - mine certainly didn't, I ended up being induced. When will they do the foley bulb? That is what I had to have, I told my doc, I hope my cervix gets the hint this time around! I hope yours does tonight and you have that baby without a c-section!

On a related note, I was 1 cm for 5+ weeks and still had to be induced, my SIL was not dilated AT ALL and went into labor the day after her last appointment before she reached 40 weeks, so there is still hope. GL!!

thanks! That would be wonderful if I went into labor before Wednesday. I totally believe it is possible Just trying not to get my hopes up too much on it...last night really had me excited.

They could do a foley bulb on me if I could get to 1 CM or a little more...unfortunately my cervix just isn't doing anything :/

I feel ya! I laboured for 42 hours, and pushed for 2 1/2. I had been dilated to 3 for a month before he was born. I was SURE I would have a fast labour!
