So I went in for my 24 week checkup.

First off, Yay Viability!

I gained about 6lbs (I guess that is a normal range of weight gain but I always feel embarrassed about that.) and as usual my blood pressure was a bit higher then it runs at home, but I think that's just being at the doctors and subconsciously worrying?

Anyways I brought up the issue with my breast and he explained the only way to treat that usually is by expressing the milk out - which I did and he said if I had any fever or problems to come back in for some antibiotics.

I was measuring normal and the baby's heartrate was at 150 today.

Next checkup is 28 weeks for the diabetes screening and my 4D ultrasound,so I'm very excited to see her face clearly for the first time.
Belita likes this.

Yeah viability and an upcoming 4D ultrasound!

I think it's normal for people to have higher blood pressure at the doctor's office compared to at home. And as for a 6lb weight gain, I don't know if that is total or even if that is since your appointment a month ago--but it sounds normal to me.

I'm glad you had a good appointment. I think it's normal for you to have a little elevated BP when at the doctors. BTW Chelsea is a beautiful name

No, that was just for this past month. I gained about 5 or 6 lbs last month when I went in too.
In total it's been around 20lbs of weight gain.

24 weeks is such an awesome milestone... One of the best. I think birth is the best, BFP next and 3rd 24 weeks!!!! But of course the others are great like halfway and full term and what not I just really like those 3 hahaha
