They now have a generic for prometrium. It is just called progesterone. If you use it, ask your pharmacist if they have it. It is about half the price of brand and is covered by a lot of insurances that don't cover brand.

I paid $300 a month for my Prometrium when I was pregnant with my son, for a grand total of $900! This was $160 for the generic (90 pills) and my insurance covered it!

Yup, I got it this go around. I dont have prescription coverage, so I pay 90.00 for 90 pills. I do have a Walgreens card though, so got a small discount from that. Looks just like the real thing, no difference at all!
