I know I haven't posted a lot in here... Some of you are just so far along and I'm just afraid to look forward to getting to that point

I go in for my cerclage in about 4 hours- I am looking forward to getting it over with & being able to look toward the future, but there is still so much uncertainty... I have been online non-stop looking at anything I can find about how far people have made it in their pregnancy having a cerclage & it's so all over the place. I know I will do whatever I can to make sure this baby stays put till term, but it really isn't up to me- all I can do is wait and see & pray. That scares me- I want to know the baby will make it!

I believe in prayer so much, but it didn't work with Daniel and I'm so afraid it won't work with this LO I just want this LO to make it to the end healthy...

Sorry for just putting this all out there I don't know who else would understand...

***UPDATE***

The cerclage is in- just having cramps (very minor) and light spotting. It freaks me out, but they said it might last a day or two. Now to just lay here for two days & then to keep thinking positively for the next 25 weeks!

Hopefully your cerclage will be one of the very effective ones that help keep baby in until full term.

I am sorry about the fear. It may work this time around because you got it in so early.

I'm doing well - spotting and cramping stopped yesterday evening, so that's good - now to get over my fear of going #2 (sorry tmi)! I just worry the stitch will burst or break - I'm about to call my OB

Try taking stool softeners and take your time letting gravity do most of the work.

Glad all went well and the spotting stopped! Definitely go with a stool softener and don't strain.
