Everything went alright. I found out I gained 10 pounds in just 2 weeks! So my OB was a little concerned about that because before that I have only gained 12 pounds slowly... Like a couple pounds per appointment. She told me to watch for swelling, headaches etc. She says I'm measuring perfect so she doesn't think it's too much fluid so I don't know where that came from! My BP and urine were perfect.
I had a cervix check (and man do those things hurt!) I am 2-3 dilated, she said my cervix is thin and she can feel baby's head!!! Now I know you can stay at like a 2 for weeks but she even asked "Is your bag packed? Maybe I won't see you next week!" Hmmm. Anyone share any info if you were like that for a long time short time etc? I kinda hope she waits at least a week I still have a lot to do.
I can't say from personal experience, but my neighbour/friend was going for appointments twice a week. At her Monday appointment she wasn't dialated at all, then at the Thursday appointment around 10am she said she was at 2, had the baby that same night at 10. So it can happen!
I gained 10 pounds right around the same time, and then only gained 3 more before she was born, so it can be normal...
With Kaiden, I was 3cm, 80% effaced since at least 37 weeks, and he was born at 40 weeks, so baby could stay in there for a while...hope she comes soon!!
Sorry about the weight gain but I would not worry to much about it. I gained 11 pounds one month with Madison.
Also I would not put much hope into the cervix checks you can walk around dilated for weeks-months.
I refused cervix checks because it really tells you nothing and it can introduce bacteria in there for no reason.
I only had my cervix checked one time with Bryson and it was at the hospital when checking me in and I was an 8 already.
So you don't have to have them done and save yourself the pain and chance for infection if you don't want them. You will know when you are in labor by contractions not how little or big your cervix is
But yay for progress.
