I really have no excuses other than laziness. Lol. I do however come and check up on you ladies more than you would think (mainly because I do not post that much). I cannot believe how far a lot of us are. Katie, I also saw that you may have some good news for us soon!! I'll keep my fingers crossed!!
AFM, I will be 37w tomorrow! Holy cow, I will be full term! I honestly did not think I would make it with so many issues I had in the middle and beginning of my pregnancy. Weirdly though, I have been feeling so much better towards the end. I went from having constant BH's to having just a few far and in between.
Bad news is I still have severe GD, and I am required to take meds 3x a day for it. I think getting my glucose in order though may have actually helped me feel better. More bad news is the little bugger is still breech. He has simply refused to budge at all in flipping (this coupled with my really high fluid levels puts me at extremely high risk for cord prolapse if my water were to break naturally). I have literally tried everything recommended to me. That spinning babies website, cold peas, lights down there, music, poses, etc.. Nothing has helped and it has actually made me so frusterated when people keep telling me to try the same thing over and over. I know they are trying to help, but believe me when I say I have tried anything and everything that has been recommended to me. It makes me feel like they do not believe me or that I am a failure (even though I know that is NOT what they are doing, I just think my hormones are out of whack).
Anyway, I don't want to risk an external version with all my issues. Especially because placenta deterioration is common with GD. So if he does not turn on his own, then a c-section it is around 38 weeks (like just over a week! EEK!!). I am not opposed to it at all, and I think I have come to terms with it. He'll come as he wants to come. Who knows, maybe it'll scare him into turning by himself. Lol.
Anyway, I'll try to be better and come around more often. I'll especially update everyone on when I have my little one. I just pray he gets here safe and sound!!

on making it to full term! What a huge milestone! Completely understandable why you've been quiet. I hope he decides to turn, but it sounds like it might be safest for you and Layne to do the c-section. I can't believe in a week you'll be holding your little boy. When I first joined you were excited about having reached viability!
at the risk of suggesting something that has already been suggested, have you looked into a chiropractor? a few friends of mine had good luck getting baby to turn that way. though they have to be trained in a certain technique...

I was going to ask that as well. It's called the Webster Technique. It's good for loosing up tight round ligaments so that they baby is able to move into the correct position. I had it done with my last pregnancy because Cameron was in a weird position.
I wasn't going to go into a chiropractor because of the cost and we are broke right now. However, our stake president of our church is one and he recommended some techniques. It did not work. I really think layne is just a super stubborn baby. I'm ok with a section though. I wasn't at first, but I just want him here safe and sound.
Cody would flip head down then one minute flip back to breach. Come to fine out I had way to much fluid so he was able to do what he wanted to do. The doctor thought when she put the Foley Bulb in that Cody would stay head down since he went into the birth canel and she could fell his head. Well that didn't happen. That is why my c-section was a rush the next morning.
I will say that my scheduled csection went so much better than the one I had after 26 hours of labor. T&P that however he comes, it goes perfectly. I can't believe it is so soon!

You're so close! C/s is not fun, but healthy baby is the most important thing. I'm glad you feel like you've come to terms with whatever kind of birth you end up having. Can't wait to see pics of the little guy!!

Don't let people get to you. You do what you can and obviously have realized that baby is gonna do his thing anyway
So exciting you are going to meet your baby very soon!!
We did the Webster technique with Kieran and it worked...but he also had a lot of fluid and it was what allowed him to flip both ways so easily. Sometimes babies just don't want to turn! Lol.
Lindsey!! I am glad to hear your doing well. Sorry he is being stubborn but he will hopefully be here soon and all that will be a distant memory I *hopefully* will have exciting news here soon! Keep us posted dear! I do check your updates on Facebook too!

Thanks ladies! I had another appointment today and the doctor is extremely worried about my risk for prolapsed cord. She was going to schedule a date for my c-section, but she said that it will most likely be an emergency one after my appointment next week if I have dilated any more. I am still at 1cm, but now a very loose 1cm and she can feel my water bag. She said I shouldn't worry if my water breaks at 1 cm, because the cord would be too big to fall out, but she does not want me making any change at all before my c-section. Too many complications!
