Hi Girls! Here is my latest pregnancy update... at my OB visit last week, I was measuring 4 weeks ahead. In one weeks time, my uterine measurement had gone from 26cm to 30cm. She ordered an u/s to make sure there wasn't an underlying medical reason for the large measurement. Of course, I was super nervous, letting my brain go through all the "what ifs" that are so common when you are told something might not be right after experiencing losses in the past. We had the u/s yesterday, and Jamison weighed in at 2lbs 12oz, and is measuring about 2 weeks ahead. So, it looks like he will be a big baby in comparison to Josiah! The OB called today and said the official u/s results were "beautifully boring"... I LOVE BORING She said he is in the 89th percentile, and that her guess is he will be between 8 and 8.5lbs when we do my c/s at 39 weeks. She did say that is a TOTAL guess, because babies growth rates can fluctuate so much in the last trimester. Here is the pic we were given at the u/s:

Congrats. That's awesome that he's growing so big. Big babies mean healthy babies

I can totally relate with thinking the worst. I hate u/s now with a passion. I'll be happy when mine is over today.

Boring results are the best! Did they change your due date? Since he is measuring ahead?

No, they have kept my EDD the same. The OB says I am due 10/27. Based on ovulation, my calculation was 10/24. I'm actually okay with her leaving the date the same, because I don't have to be worried about delivering at 39 weeks via c/s and him not being ready. He has consistently measured ahead since the beginning. My c/s will be either 10/19, 10/20, or 10/23 unless I go into labor on my own sooner than that (would probably still do a c/s if that happened). I'm hoping I'll know by September what his actual birthday will be! They don't have the OB rotation set up for October at the hospital yet, hence the handful of possible dates.

Yay for healthy and boring Both of my boys measured ahead and had sonograms to check growth. Thankfully, I just assumed they were huge. Which was fairly true That picture is sooooooo cool!!

What a great u/s! So you might have a big one huh? I guess measuring ahead is better then measuring below, hopefully he won't get too big for labor!

My husband was born at 11 1/2lbs - his mom had him all natural and they ended up breaking his collar-bone just to get him out - of course now a days if a baby is that large they'd likely do a c-section.

I've decided on a repeat c/s... I had a really hard labor with Josiah that ended with him getting stuck and me needing a c/s. He was only 7lbs 5oz, so the fact that this baby is most definitely bigger (OB is guessing 8-8.5lbs if we deliver at 39 weeks) makes me feel even more comfortable with my decision not to attempt a VBAC.
