If you have pets and kids, how do they get along? If you are pregnant and have pets, how do you think they will react to baby? And I would love to see some pictures of pets with or without kids

We have 2 dogs. When we first brought Eleanor home, they basically acted like nothing was different and barely even acknowledged her... almost like they just expected her to show up and they already knew her. Now that she is a moving loudmouth that EATS, they really love to follow her around waiting for her to give them food. When Eleanor is in her high chair she will hold food over the edge and say, "Dod!"

One of the dogs is a little more skittish about being crawled on and grabbed and will basically leave the area when Eleanor gets to her (as long as she has no food ). But our other dog loves the attention and will happily be crawled on, climbed on, grabbed and patted. Actually sometimes Eleanor grabs Clover's collar and they walk around together

Here is a picture of them that DH and I thought was pretty funny.

Our dogs ignore our kids for the most part unless they are eating and then they want their food. Our golden retriever does like to play with Jackson when Jackson is in the mood to play with her.

We have 2 cats. One LOVES Marsi. They are best of friends! The other kitty has always been a skitz. He doesn't like anyone but is the sweetest kitty. He is just scared of anyone but his family. He likes Marsi, but will not tolerate her crawling on him. This is her and Dexter.

We have 2 cats and one puppy. So far only the puppy shows the most interest in Ethan. But we make sure that she only sniffs him for so long cause if not, she will lick him from head to toe in one fail swoop. We're afraid to leave her alone with him since she's still a puppy and could nip at any moment. Our cats pretty much leave him alone. Our male cat sniffs him more than the female. Our female is very skiddish and will shy away from any and everyone if you make too much noise or movements.

We have 3 dogs, two wiener dogs and a pit bull. All 3 dogs do great with Layne. Our oldest dachshund is super protective of him too. He loves to lay under his swing or next to his rocker and will not let any of the other dogs around him. We call Layne his baby. Lol.

Everyone's pets are so cute!

Melissa, Pepper and Jake remind me of my Clover, taking over the armchair

Marti, 3 labs is a lot of dog! I bet Jax has a ton of fun with them

Rachel, that picture of Marsi and Dexter is adorable. They look like they are cuddle buddies!

Liz, what kind of puppy do you have?

Lindsey, I love it when dogs are protective of their babies. So cute

We have five dogs. They are all dachshunds (long haired ones).

Nadia annoys the crap out of the kids by trying to lick them incessantly. She loves attention, kid or otherwise.

Zara is terrified of the kids. She rarely comes down from her perch on the couch. She will yelp and run if they come to close (she does this with us too...she is psychologically imbalanced and always has been).

Vixen LOVES the kids. She will play with them, lay with them, follow them around. She doesn't care about getting crawled on or anything.

Rhett is indifferent. He is too good for this type of life (he is so aloof we call him the non-dog).

Silas is great with the kids. He is a big teddy bear and rolls around on the floor with them. He is also dumb as nails, so I don't know that he could figure out how to get away from the kids if he tried

I'll post pics on my computer...we have tons!

We have 4 dogs. All of them have been good with Cody.

Spot our female loves Cody and acts like a second mom. She comes and gets us when he is crying. She tries to give Cody a bath. She has become real protective of the house and Cody. You have to talk to her before you come in the house to visit. We had to put up a beware of dog sign.

Cornea our order dog puts up with Cody. She is real close to me so she gets jealous sometimes.

Parches and Smokie both love Cody. They come in to check on him then go off running. If Cody is on the floor they both step over or around him instead of stepping on him.

Will post pictures later.
