My friend had an IUI exactly two weeks ago today. She registered positive on a clearblue easy digital hpt this morning. She had the bloodwork done also today and the nurse told her that her hcg level was almost low enough to be negative. We don't know the exact number but the nurse also mentioned that they would have felt better if the starting number was 40 instead. She would be extremely early in the pregnancy and registered positive on a digital hpt which wouldn't normally pick it up this early. Her shins and ankles are swollen, and she has experienced some bleeding during the time implantation would normally take place. Could she have possibly m/c or is it too early for the blood to register very high at all???
anybody with any insight please help. thanks in advance for the advice.
I have not had any bleeding but when I took a HPT it was a few days before my missed AF and it was postive. The next day I called the doctor, they had me go in to do the HCG level when my results came back they told me that the # was low and they wanted me to go in for another test the following week. My # was 37. I was only 3 weeks and 5 days at that time. My levels did go up and I was put on hormone medicine and the baby is doing good so far. Good heartbeat last week at 7 weeks. So hopefully everything will turn out ok for your friend. m/c are really hard to handle I had 3 of them last year so am thankful that things are going well with me this time. Good Luck. Well wishes
