For mommies: Do you like your baby's pediatrician? Why or why not? How did s/he become your baby's doctor? Any plans to switch?
For pregnant ladies: Have you picked your baby's pediatrician yet? If you already have kids, will you just use the same one as your older kids? Do you plan on meeting with your pediatrician before your baby is born.
I love Jacob's pedi. She was Jackson's pedi so now that is who Jacob sees. I was really scared about vaccines and she sat down with me and helped me come up with an alternative schedule that really worked for us and that I felt comfortable with. I did meet with her before Jackson was born and thought she was amazing.
Thank you *Kiliki* for my beautiful siggy
We switched to a new doctor after baby #3 and never regretted it. Main reason for picking them was they have hours on weekends for sick kids. (Back then, it was rare).
I may switch this LO to a female in the practice since my older girls are now seeing her. It's only because my DH thinks they'd prefer to see a female doctor and he scheduled their physicals. Funny part, all of my doctors are males and I never thought twice about it ...
I love our doctor since he doesn't push me when I say nope to certain vaccines (all the newer ones) and doesn't harp on the weight of the kids. He knows them by now to know it will bounce around from year to year. (We have both extremes 100% for BMI and 1% for BMI).

DH went to high school with Natalie's doctor and several of our friends use him. I love him and the whole office.
We didn't pick him out until right before Natalie was born. I was really put off when I went to my first appointment for the baby I lost. I told the nurse and the doctor repeatedly how nervous I was that something was wrong and they harped on me about not having a pediatrician picked out. ***? I was only six weeks along and they acted like I was neglecting the baby. One of many things I hated about that office.
When I was pregnant with Reagan, we met with a Dr and picked him, we loved him, he was great with her, she loved him and was never scared of him. He also acted like she was his favorite patient, whether or not she was, you couldn't tell But, sadly, he left the practice to pursue emergency medicine at the children's hospital, so we couldn't follow him. We switched to a different pedi in the office, I like her, but she is nowhere near as good as the other doc. She is really good with the girls, but there was just something about him that was comforting - my SIL said the same thing, she was a nervous wreck with her daughter, all of the time, she said he really calmed her fears about everything. The nurses are all great too! And I have never had an issue getting an emergency appointment when needed.
I love Marsi's pedi! I met her the first time when I was fighting the doctors to release Marsi from the hospital. She is the first one to listen to me and Marsi got released that night. She is good with my decisions. She listens. She personally called me the day Marsi had heart surgery to check on her and me. Marsi absolutely loves her. I couldn't have found a better pedi for her.
