It hasn't really sunk in yet that i'm pregnant. I found out almost a week ago now and I haven't said a word about it. after the miscarriage we were both pretty shocked. We had planned to rent a larger place but decided instead to just take the plunge and buy. So Saturday we signed out mortgage and closed the deal and we get the keys on October 26th. Its going to be more money coming out every month but thats always the case when you live in Toronto (where the average semi-detached home sells for between 600-800 thousand.) So i'm worried for some reason that DH is going to act like I am....very removed and unsure considering all the stress we're under with the impending move etc.. I feel like its okay for me to act that way, but to have him be optimistic would probably bring out my excitement. I'm not even sure what i'm asking here, but i'm guessing I should probably tell him soon?

I would probably go ahead and tell him. Hopefully he will be excited which would be great for you. Wow I can't believe how much a house cost in Toronto. That is alot. But I'm sure it will be wonderful once you get moved. Congratulations by the way on your new home.

Let us know once you tell him how he reacts.

I'd tell too. I wasn't going to tell my dh for other reasons, but I got sick and I told him. It's nice to have one less thing to worry about.

I know houses in Boston are about the same. It sad you can't find houses that you can afford on one salary anymore..Congrats about both baby and new house.

I didn't tell DH that we were expecting until I think I was 6w.
I had miscarried the month before and thus this LO was totally not planned. He took the miscarriage hard and I didn't want him to suffer again. He was POed when I finally told him and not because of the baby but because I hid it from him. Translated, tell him before too long.

mspkids this is exactly it. I miscarried in August and he took it really hard so in my mind i'm protecting him from the possibility of it occurring again....but yes I can totally see him being really POed that I didn't tell him sooner. I think I might fib and tell him I just found out, because its been a week now
