Hi all, I just recently found out a few days ago that we are pregnant again. Here is my story:

I have two daughters from a previous marriage and they are 8 and 10. I remarried in May of this year (to the most amazing man ever!) and we started trying right away. Got lucky on the first cycle and had a BFP, but sadly lost the baby at 9.5 weeks. I actually had a blighted ovum so no baby, just a sac that kept growing and growing. I had a D&C at 10.5 wks and then got a terrible infection from it a week later. I was devastated, I had never experienced a loss before. I had two pregnancies, first was very easy and slightly early at 37 wks and my second was rough with a PTL at 33 wks.

I changed OB's because after the botched D&C, her reaction was so that of a doctor. It happened, move on, it probably won't happen again. She (having suffered a loss of her own too) said she wouldn't give me an early ultrasound or check my progestorone levels. I knew then she wasn't the doctor for us anymore. I "interviewd" one last Tuesday the 9th and fell in love with him. He was so nice, answered all my questions and said of course he would do an early ultrasound and one every day after to make me feel better. He said he would monitor me closely as he considered both of my daughters pre-term and would start me on the progesterone shots at 16 weeks and check my levels at my 1st appt and supplement if needed as well.

I found out on Friday at 9 DPO and I POAS everyday just to make sure the lines are there. My symptoms this go around are 20x worse and I can barely make it through the day sometimes with the terrible nausea and burping/acid reflux. Tums are my new bestie right now!

Just wanted to say Hi and I am also in the June DDC club but still a little scared until that first ultrasound.

Welcome and Congratulations!! So glad you are joining us. your new dr sounds wonderful. My dr was the same way with my pregnancy after my loss. He gave me ultrasounds every week until I hit the 20 week mark. Pregnancy after a loss is very difficult and having a dr that understands your fear and helps put your mind at ease is essential.

Congratulations! I also had a doctor that I refuse to go back to. It is important to have a doctor that listens, especially when you've had a loss.

I'm glad you changed doctors. Your first one sounds like one of the doctors I had. Grr...
