How often do you trim your LO's nails? Do you use nail clippers or do you file them down with a fingernail file? do you find that it is hard to trim those little nails or are you pretty good at it?

I trim Jacob's nails probably twice each week. it amazes me how fast they grow. I do use the nail clippers. when he was a newborn, I used the fingernail file and filed them down because his fingers were so small, I couldn't seem to use the nail clippers and I even cut him once so I didn't use the nail clippers until he was a few months old.

I don't know. Whenever she scratches me when trying to see my teeth. I use clippers when she is eating her bottle. I have cut her once when she was smaller, but nothing since then.

My DS is 4 so i use the clippers and a nail file, my DD is 2 and her nails are still really thin so i just bite hers. She has such thin nails and sensitive skin that i worry about cutting her with the clippers. We do this whenever needed, they both are really active so they usually break them before i can get to them.

I trim weekly. Both of their nails grow like wildfire! I use little scissors and always have, never cut them or anything. I find it easy to trim between newborn and 6 months, then again at 2+ (when reasoning and bribing work!). But 6mo-2 years is tough. Kieran acts like I am killing him! Lol.
