Child Proofing your House.

For mommies: Have you child proofed your house? How old was your LO when you got everything child proofed if you have already done it?

For Pregnant mommies: Have you child proofed anything yet in your house?

We child proofed our house when our first child was almost 1 year old so it was already child proofed when Jacob was born.

We child proofed when my first started crawling but when my second was almost 1 we had to semi unchildproof. She would take off all the safety outlet covers and chew on them. I took them all out and neither of them have touched the outlets since. With this baby i will probably child proof early so i can see what i will need to change before the baby actually needs it.

Old house was done when we moved in when DD#1 was 9m. We had the same locks on the cabinets when we moved out 14 years later. We moved into our newer house when #6 was 5 months old. We baby locked a few things. By the time she was 1, she could open the locks quicker than we could. We removed all but the magnetic one under the sinks where the chemicals are stored.

I don't think they are going back on since my kids are too smart and they figure them out quicker than my mother can..

We have done none of this yet... it's going to be a really big job because we have so many open shelves, stairs and we may have the least baby friendly house ever! We have been making a list of all the things we need to do before she's crawling though...
